About the Role WesTrac is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner or Senior Advisor to join our team. Based from our Tomago Head Office and reporting to the Senior People & Culture Manager, you will proactively partner with business leaders and team members to support all stages of the employee life cycle.
This position will support operational business units across NSW/ACT that consist primarily of trades and warehouse personnel. You will take a values-based approach to delivering an effective and timely support service and focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Key Accountabilities Provide advice on policies, procedures and industrial instrumentsPartner with operational leaders to support the employee life cycleEffectively manage IR and ER mattersSupport effective organisational design through creating structures that support strategic objectivesUphold WesTrac's core values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect & CustomerSupport annual performance and remuneration cycles and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesLead change management activities to support new people strategies and initiativesCollaborate with the broader P&C team to ensure an exceptional employee experienceSkills & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource ManagementGeneralist experience in a large organisation ideally within a blue-collar environmentDemonstrated ability to handle complex ER matters with confidence and sensitivityStrong background in industrial relations and strategic HR managementExperience with HRIS systems (SuccessFactors desirable but not essential)Working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in human resource managementOutstanding communication skills with proven ability to negotiate and influenceHigh level of problem-solving abilityNext Steps To be considered for this opportunity please submit your resume and cover letter before the closure date of January 12th 2025.
