ABOUT THE ROLE: Provides advice and consultation services to the executive management team, managers, employees, and other stakeholders on a range of Human Resource (HR) matters, as well as timely strategic solutions to workforce requirements resulting in a highly engaged workforce.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high-level advice, support and coaching to managers and employees on core HR services in areas such as recruitment and selection, talent acquisition, case management, engagement, performance, conduct, workforce, and business planning.
Provide quality resolutions and effective employee relations advice in accordance with policies in line with business requirements.
Provision and development of HR related procedures, policies and projects that focus on business improvement and innovative solutions.
Support, develop and coordinate HR initiatives including culture and leadership programs, annual employee surveys, reward, and recognition.
Preparation of high-level administrative correspondence and analysis of HR reporting requirements relevant to the Jacana Energy operational teams.
Assist with the management of Work Health and Safety management and reporting systems, including the development of associated surveys, policies, and procedures.
Comply with the NTPS and Jacana Energy's Code of Conduct, corporate values and strategies, policies, and procedures as well as other relevant regulatory guidelines.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Extensive demonstrated experience in providing HR business partnering and consultation services with a generalist understanding of Employee Relations functions.
Well-developed negotiation, advocacy, mediation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence to achieve agreeable outcomes.
Strong personal attributes including highly driven and self-motivated with the ability to work with limited direction, flexible with a strong stakeholder and client focus.
Proven leadership capabilities and the skills to positively influence and contribute as an effective team member driving necessary strategy and policy initiatives including change management processes.
Demonstrated research, conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to analyse problems and develop a coordinated logical approach towards solutions.
Proven ability of coaching, presentation skills and facilitation of HR specific training programs and workshops.
A sound understanding of NT Work Health and Safety legislation and issues.
Commitment to providing a high standard of customer service and operating within the Jacana Energy corporate values of Diversity, Innovation, Honesty, Teamwork and Wellbeing.
You may also have:
Relevant experience in the Retail Energy sector or Government owned-Corporation.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or similar.
