HR Partners is parterning with a national organisation to find their next People and Culture Business Partner.
In this essential role, you will be the primary resource for all people-related matters within your portfolio, delivering strategic, advisory, and operational HR services. You will focus on fostering trusted relationships with managers and employees at all levels, offering expert consultation and ensuring that HR objectives align with divisional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic, advisory, and operational HR support across the employment lifecycle.
Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with leaders, establishing trust as a business partner.
Assist management and employees in interpreting and adhering to industrial instruments, policies, and best practices.
Deliver relevant HR data and analytics to inform decision-making for executives and management.
Coach managers in enhancing their leadership and management skills, including people-management training.
Champion organisational values and promote continuous improvement, diversity, and inclusion
Lead recruitment and selection processes, focusing on workforce planning, job design, and candidate experience
Oversee the on-boarding process, aiding leaders in integrating new employees and ensuring effective induction.
Ensure compliance requirements are met and maintained during on-boarding.
Manage the contracting process, including employment agreements and related employment terms.
Support managers with probationary period planning and review meetings.
Guide managers in conducting consistent performance and development reviews to foster a high-performance culture.
Assist with performance management processes to address employee performance.
Collaborate with the Senior People & Culture Business Partner on effective case management of employee relations matters.
Manage off-boarding processes, including exit surveys and interviews, to identify improvement opportunities and retention strategies.
Participate in reviewing people-related policies to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices.

WorkCover

Apply effective return-to-work strategies, focusing on early intervention.

Liaise with WorkSafe agents, health practitioners, and rehabilitation providers to facilitate timely returns to work.
Coach managers on WorkCover compensation and injury management responsibilities.
Oversee WorkCover claims, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
Maintain records of WorkCover claims and provide reports as needed.

Projects
Contribute to the development and implementation of People and Culture-related projects and programs, including the roll out of new HR systems and engagement initiatives.

Positive, can-do attitude with a capacity for managing sensitive issues confidentially.
Demonstrates company values and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications & Experience:
Approximately 5 years of experience working within the People & Culture function
Proven track record in managing complex industrial negotiations (Enterprise Agreements desirable).
Experience with HR Information Systems and coaching users in their adoption.

Key Relationships:
Internal: Work closely with Senior People & Culture Business Partner, on site Leadership Group, and HRIS Manager to deliver strategic HR solutions.
External: Engage with HR and Work Cover industry associations to stay updated on workplace law and legislation.
