About the role: The People Advisor coordinates a range of generalist People related functions within a geographical area and/or business stream. They support leadership/management teams and employees to ensure Aruma's HR policies, procedures, and practices are implemented in line with our values and Code of Conduct. The focus of the role is to provide advice, and to support managers/supervisors on a range of employment related matters. Key Responsibilities: Advises managers on all people matters as they arise and as appropriate, consistent with Aruma policies and values, and legislative requirements. Works to resolve conflict in the first instance within role and functional limits; escalates where appropriate. Effectively manages internal customer relationship needs and expectations. Participates in and provides oversight and guidance for disciplinary and grievance investigations, ensuring adherence to organisational policies and legislative requirements. Provides accurate and timely advice in relation to award and agreement interpretation and implementation, seeking guidance where required. Effectively collaborates with specialist advisors to ensure alignment to operational requirements, such as collaborating with Talent Advisors for recruitment and selection or Recover at Work Advisors for Workers. Facilitates the onboarding and probationary actions of new employees. Supports management in the implementation of a portfolio/region wide talent and succession planning strategy. Assists the Professional Development Review process. Must have 3+ years of HR Advisor role experience in a fast-paced environment including employee relations, performance management, and workplace change. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Sound written communication skills, including the ability to prepare written reports. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and business improvement. Ability to advise frontline managers. Demonstrated evidence of personal resilience, action orientation, initiative, drive for results, and ability to prioritize conflicting priorities. Demonstrated personal effectiveness including time management, timely decision making, organization, planning, managing, and measuring work. Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems and technology. Sound knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety. About You: Relevant certification if/when required.
