We offer you a dynamic and challenging role in an international working environment.As a People Advisor, you will report to the Chief People Officer (CPO), who is based in Rotterdam.
Located in one of our offices in the UK, for example Ipswich, you will be the local People advisor in the UK.
The activities vary from successfully onboarding new colleagues, conducting interviews with applicants, to conducting stay or exit interviews or conversations about mobility trajectories.
You will work intensively with your direct colleagues and have daily contact with our other employees, nationally and internationally.
They will contact you with all their HR issues, and you will advise them on relevant training courses, among other things.
You will also be a sparring partner for our managers regarding training wishes and absenteeism.
Finally, you will support our payroll specialist and keep an eye on insurance and pensions.
It's important that you are a hands-on and practical individual with a go-to character.
Concrete tasks include:
Coordinating recruitment & selection procedures from sourcing to hiring at an international level, maintaining contact, planning interviews and conducting job interviews;Supporting line managers with different People challenges;Liaison with UK institutions and labor organizations such as HMRC, Pension Schemes, Healthcare Institutes, labor unions, and labor authorities;Onboarding new employees, ensuring they follow the right Samskip training courses and receive important company information;Participating in global People projects;Coordinating our UK reward projects;Leading administrative tasks in the UK.Room for development in our global People teamSamskip UK currently consists of 3 legal entities, with approximately 200 employees on the payroll, spread over multiple geographical locations in the UK.
You will be part of a bigger international People team, where we work hard and help each other when the workload demands it.
You will be the local 'go-to' person for all People-related queries in the UK.

Specific job requirements are:
A completed relevant higher professional education, for example in human resources management;At least 3 years of work experience; experience in payroll is a plus but not necessary;Up-to-date knowledge of national laws, regulations, and legislation, including labor agreements and tariffs;As far as we are concerned, you start as soon as possible.
