About the Position:
Ocean2Earth is a growing and expanding business currently investigating several regional expansion opportunities. Your role as the Business Development Manager will see you as the face of Ocean2Earth in your territory and foster new relationships and opportunities with customers, supporting the growth of the business.
As the driving force behind the day-to-day sales of Ocean2Earth products, this role will see you working closely with our existing timber sales force and leveraging our four nationwide warehouses. You'll lead sales initiatives, generate new accounts, and cultivate customer relationships.
This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne (or potentially other major cities or regions).
Key Responsibilities include:
Drive sales growth by acquiring new clients, maintaining existing relationships and leading sales efforts for Ocean2Earth products to meet targets. Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to expand market reach. Cultivate and maintain positive client relationships. Provide in-store support, including merchandising, product delivery, and in-store marketing campaigns. Deliver product training to store staff. Foster relationships with buying groups for optimal stocking of O2E products. To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous sales experience, preferably in a similar industry (preferably 5+ years). Technical knowledge across home garden, horticultural and agricultural products and markets. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and plan and organise. Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills. Capable of creating sales and marketing collateral. Must be able to work autonomously and be willing to travel to visit customers and maintain accounts.
