If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.   Grand Pacific Health is looking for experienced Peer Worker to support the establishment of the new Queanbeyan Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Hub.   The Queanbeyan AOD hub will utilise an approach that prioritises strong coordinated care. The hub will provide treatment and support for people using the service, including warm referrals to other services that meet the persons social, emotional wellbeing needs centred around a collaborative care plan that is led by the consumer. Services can be delivered virtually on country or through outreach.   The Queanbeyan AOD Hub is a collaboration between Grand Pacific Health, Directions Health and Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Region Health and Community Services.    About us  Grand Pacific Health is a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation.  Were here to provide our local communities in NSW and the ACT with equitable, inclusive and integrated health care including physical health and mental health care services.   We currently employ 340 people, provide services from 25 locations and are continuing to grow.  About the position The Peer Worker will work within the Queanbeyan AOD team to provide open, appropriate and effective support to consumers to improve outcomes and reduce harm associated with drug and alcohol use.  As a Peer Worker, you will not only use your own life experience of mental health and personal recovery to support consumers, but you will also support the peer worker team as a role model and mentor. The Peer Worker works collaboratively with the other members of the Queanbeyan AOD team and external services to maximise care outcomes for consumers. This is a part-time opportunity (52.5 hours per fortnight), fixed term until 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension.  Hours and days are negotiable. Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work (or commencement or a willingness to work towards qualification within first 6 months of employment)  2. Direct lived experience of life changing mental health/AOD challenges and/or mental health service use with more than 12 months of healing and personal recovery 3. Knowledge and understanding of the principles of harm minimization and recovery focused support gained through experience, education and/or training   4.
