We are seeking a Peer Support Dog Program Administrator to provide business support and coordination for the Peer Support Dog Program across the state, within the Wellbeing and Support Services function.
Responsibilities include technical and admin tasks, scheduling of Peer Dog visits across the state, identifying risks, and preparing reports to ensure the program runs smoothly for our Wellbeing and Support Services.
This is a Full Time, Permanent position.
While WFH/Hybrid options are available, it is essential that the successful applicant maintains a presence at Doncaster in line with our hybrid working model.
About the roleReporting to the Senior Manager, Peer Support and Pastoral Care, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate, record and monitor documentation associated with the running of the Peer Support Dog program ensuring information is centrally recorded, confidentially managed and is readily accessible.Ensuring maintenance of and compliance with program governance in line with relevant legislation and policy.Process invoices, raise and track purchase orders and monitor and report against associated budget.Provide professional services and business support relating to the Peer Support Dog program.Foster constructive and effective working relationships with external providers to maximise delivery of services to AV employees and their families.Assist with the selection process and induction of new Peer Dog handlers and their Peer Support Dogs.About youTo be considered for this position you will possess:
Completion of a degree or relevant industry certification with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience.Well developed communications skills, both written and oral, including the ability to prepare written information.High level integrity and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and issues, maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedure.Familiarity with legislation governing animal welfare would be highly regarded.Working at Ambulance VictoriaAs a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
