Hone your skills and develop new ones. take on big challenges and grow, through mentorship, collaboration, and empowerment.??Thiess is the place to make things happen.??ABOUT THE ROLEThiess is seeking experienced Production Leading Hands?to join our team at our Peak Downs mine located 6km south-east of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.Working a 7/7 roster rotating days/nights, your duties will include:Assist the Production Supervisor with leading a mining crew to deliver production results safely and efficientlyProvide Step-Up Supervisor support where requiredCarry out effective inspection and reporting processes in accordance with relevant site policies and proceduresCo-ordination of dispatch personnel, production operators and equipment to deliver the production scheduleConduct mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiencyActively seek continuous improvementREQUIREMENTSPrevious experience acting as a Step-Up Supervisor or Leading Hand in an open-cut coal mining environment is highly regardedA solid understanding of the processes involved with open cut coal miningGreat organisational, communication and presentation skills coupled with approachable and motivational qualitiesProven leadership experience and people management skills is essentialQualifications that support your experience and success within the coal mining industryStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsCurrent S123 and G2WHAT THIESS CAN DO FOR YOUPermanent shirt from commencement 7/7 roster - 12.5hr shifts – Rotating Day & Night Paid flights from Brisbane or BIBO from Mackay & TownsvilleFull camp facilities and meals provided.
