THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the highly experienced Senior Manager - Payroll, the Payroll Team Leader will assume responsibility for a high-performing team of 4 Payroll Officers who process payrolls for around 3500 employees. It is a largely self-sufficient team with multiple long-tenured members. You will have a small portfolio to process yourself but a major priority of the role is to ensure that the Payroll team operates smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Other areas of focus for this role include but are not limited to the below:
Process Improvement & Service DeliveryOversee EOM reporting processesContributing to ongoing projectsWork with the team to ensure smooth and accurate processing of Super, WorkCover, Salary Packaging and moreTraining of new Team MembersActing as a point of escalation for complex queriesPayroll reporting, and auditing employee master file dataPOSITIVES
This is a stepping-stone position for any career-minded Payroll Professional who desires to be a Payroll Manager in a large organisation. This role will provide you with the combination of people management/high volume that is the key to getting to the Senior Management level. Beyond the career aspect, there is the now standard hybrid pattern, annual salary reviews, flexible working hours, and the security of working in one of the largest health organisations in Australia.
CHALLENGES
