Five weeks annual leaveCompetitive salary plus flexible working options24/7 access to a no-cost mental health and wellbeing programs that supports your emotional, mental, financial and physical health.About the role: As the Team Lead you will be responsible for overseeing a Payroll Bureau that completes end-to-end payroll processing for 24 aged care providers, leading the team and driving implementation of the business plan.
Key responsibilities will include: Providing oversight, direction and support to the Payroll Team to ensure goals are met and services are delivered to the highest possible standard.Running end-to-end payroll processing in line with procedures including preparing, reconciling, and reporting on wages, salary packaging and superannuation.Engaging with Payroll Bureau clients to ensure the service is effective, their awareness of matters relating to payroll and employment conditions is maintained and escalated payroll issues are resolved.Monitoring practices to ensure compliance with legislation, service agreements and procedures and accuracy of records and reports.Providing direct support where required to build client capacity to comply with regulatory obligations to the extent it relates to payroll processing.Maintaining effective relationships with key suppliers to ensure service objectives are met.Conducting system audits to ensure robust internal controls and risk mitigation.About you You are a payroll leader with experience in an outsourced bureau environment and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while ensuring a high level of accuracy.
One of your strengths will be excellent oral and written communication with the ability to explain complex payroll matters to people of varying comprehension levels.
You will also possess: A Certificate, Diploma or Tertiary level qualification in HR, Finance or a related discipline or equivalent experience.An ability to interpret relevant agreements, awards, legislation and thorough knowledge of National Employment Standards.Experience in managing teams, financial and material resources and meeting all monitoring and reporting requirements within agreed timeframes.A demonstrated ability to operate with limited supervision, work in a team environment and be responsive to changing work requirements.Experience with computerised payroll systems (Care Systems experience desirable).We require federal police check as an essential selection component for this role, please consider this requirement when submitting your application.
