As the Payroll Services Officer you will ensure that Council:
Understands and complies with the relevant enterprise agreements, awards, legislation and organisational policies. Provides an efficient and effective payroll service to all employees of Colac Otway Shire Council. Key responsibilities include: Payroll processing Leave Superannuation About You: To support your success in this role you will have:
Relevant extensive experience working in a payroll environment and well-developed understanding of payroll practices and general accounting principles and practices. Experience in award, workplace agreements, legislation and policy interpretation and application. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide sound advice to staff and prepare internal and external payroll related correspondence. Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to use initiative and judgement to reach outcomes to achieve objectives of the department/Council. Demonstrated effective analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to identify potential problems and suggest a course of action. Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word and general computer system administration. Demonstrated experience in a customer focused role. Clear Police and Working with Children Check are essential. Salary information: $70,533.32 to $80,331.16 per annum plus superannuation.
