We're looking for a Payroll Officer to lead our client's payroll operations within a reputable federal government agency. What You'll Do: Lead and Support: Work closely with the Payroll Services Team Leader to manage daily operations and distribute tasks efficiently, ensuring timely and precise payroll services. Tackle Complex Payroll Challenges: Handle intricate tasks such as leave audits, redundancy calculations, superannuation, and taxation queries. Be a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert guidance on salaries, entitlements, and leave conditions in accordance with enterprise agreements and policies. Shape Decisions: Make informed decisions, helping to set new precedents when required. Manage Relationships: Solve complex customer issues and escalate concerns when necessary. Mentorship and Growth: Coach less experienced team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
