We are looking for an experienced and thorough officer who: is passionate about what you do and the important role that you play in the business will work collectively within the multi-faceted organisation will maintain accurate records and confidentiality of employee payroll information Key Responsibilities will include: End-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly pay runs across multiple States in accordance with instructions, agreed expectations and best practice Performing full function payroll tasks including on-boarding, variations/transfers, increment increases, offboarding and reporting Interpreting Awards (Children's Services Award and Educational Services (Teachers) Award) and employment law correctly Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations while staying up-to-date with any changes that may impact payroll procedures Provide exceptional customer service to our services and timely resolution of their payroll enquiries Provide support to the wider team as required. What you'll need: Proven experience as a Payroll Officer that involved processing high-volume end-to-end full function payroll Experience with Micropay and Tanda is desirable Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft suite and advanced knowledge of Excel High level of attention to detail and deadline-driven Ability to interpret awards & legislation Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities High level of Integrity & Confidentiality Strong interpersonal and communication skills The Sparrow Benefits: Flexibility: Work from home 1 day per week and flexible start and finish times.
