Report to Payroll Manager and is involved in the fortnightly and monthly payroll process across Australia and New Zealand.
It is responsible for preparing the review and submission of the payroll tax as well as superannuation and PAYG.
They are also required to assist staff members with their payroll enquirers.
Tasks and Responsibilities… Assist with the preparation and processing of SG Fleet's fortnightly pay cycle, ensuring its timely and accurate delivery.
Ensure all timesheets, salary variations (including allowances), salary packaging, annual leave, staff movements, terminations and comments are processed as required Prepare payroll, superannuation, and PAYG related returns across all SG Fleet locations, as well as ATO (Single Touch Payroll), and assisting with the processing of all location's superannuation schemes Accounts Payable for all wage related invoice payments (agents' invoice, recruitment invoices etc) and third-party licence fee payments Assist with reporting; Month End and Fortnightly Payroll journals preparation, process, and accrual, after payrun reports for MV salary package as well as other third parties' payment - social club, child support and garnish, and the reconciliation payroll reports to general ledger Assist in updating any payroll policies and procedures, the maintenance of payroll records under statutory requirements, and assisting with the any testing for all system upgrades Assist with SG Fleet's Promaster processes; credit card application, set up and cancellation; staff re-imbursement, journal process, accrual and reconciliation to general ledger Skills and Experience Certification in Accounting or Business Administration or similar Previous experience as a Payroll Officer Some understanding of superannuation legislation Some understanding of taxes and payroll legislation in various states and/or NZ Previous experience with salary packaging Excellent time management, ability to meet specified deadlines and report regularly on progress Experience with Micropay and ConnX (desirable) High integrity and a good understanding of professional ethics Excellent discretion and tact in dealings with people WHAT'S NEXT We'd love to hear from you if you're ready to take on your next challenge at a company that embodies diversity and belonging and offer work-life balance and career development.
