Job Description Processing and managing the payroll function.
Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Handling employee queries regarding payroll matters.
Reconciling and verifying payroll data and resolving any discrepancies as they arise.
Assisting in preparing reports for both internal and external use.
Keeping up to date with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage and tax data.
Documenting and improving payroll policies and procedures.
The Successful Applicant A successful Payroll Officer should have: A solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of computer software, particularly MYOB.
Ability to handle confidential information.
A degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
