Temporary Position - 12 Months Full time Office based role in Olympic Park POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will work in the Home office payroll team, with responsibility to coordinate with the store payroll team to process end to end payroll for Costco Australia and New Zealand.

Job Duties/Essential Functions Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Process the fortnightly end to end payroll function for 5,500+ employees in Australia and New Zealand and ensure compliance with current Employee Agreement, awards, legislation, guidelines, policies & procedures. Coordinate with the payroll clerks at each store to ensure clocking exceptions are cleared to be ready for pay run. Perform payroll administration and maintain employee records including setting up new hires, terminations and payments, performance reviews, training records, pay increase and back pays for Home office employees. Process superannuation payment each pay cycle and payroll tax on a monthly basis. Balance all payroll ledger accounts, including the posting of all payroll related journals on a periodical basis. Answer payroll related queries from employees, payroll clerks and third parties. Provide statutory employment reports for Australian Bureau of Statistics and Employment New Zealand. Perform year end reporting including the balancing and production of payment summaries through STP. Assistance with administrative duties including filing and record keeping. Assistance with testing if required. Other ad hoc duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills: Experience in end to end payroll processing for medium to large organisations is preferred. Past experience in using SuccessFactor and New Zealand payroll processing is an advantage. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Be flexible and a good team player.
