Be part of a friendly and busy Finance team 26 days annual leave, including one for your birthday 13 weeks paid parental leave, plus other great employee benefits 12 month max term contract - start date March 2025 Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive  Payroll Officer to join our dynamic Payroll Team within Finance.
In this role, you'll play a key part in processing payrolls for all our Australian and New Zealand legal entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all statutory reporting activities.
Working closely with IT, Compliance, Finance, and HR teams, you will help manage the full payroll cycle, from onboarding to finance journals, alongside the Senior Payroll Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a busy, fast-paced payroll function covering 1,500 employees across 6 Australian and 1 New Zealand fortnightly payrolls.
Responsibilities Manage fortnightly payrolls Manage integration of Data from workday to ADP Ensure new employees, terminations and any change to employment is accounted for in a timely and accurate manner Liaise with Finance to ensure sufficient balance is provided for disbursement  Preparation and lodgement of Payroll tax returns Year End processing and Income Statement Processing Manage payroll inbox to ensure employees' requests and queries are processed within KPI's  Prepare payroll journals after each payroll Reconciliation of clearing accounts  Requirements 1-2 years Payroll experience (essential) Payroll System experience (essential) Strong Customer Focus Excellent Communication Skills Excellent Time Management Microsoft Excel to intermediate Demonstrates the ability and willingness to learn  Kaplan Australia Kaplan Australia is one of the world's leading providers of lifelong education, helping over one million students around the globe achieve their educational and career goals each year.
