The Role:
Experienced Payroll Officer needed for immediate start to manage end-to-end payroll processing for a Viictorian state government organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process fortnightly payroll for large workforce
- Manage overtime, allowances, and shift penalties
- Process termination payments and leave entitlements
- Handle salary sacrificing and deductions
- Submit PAYG and superannuation payments
- Process Workers Compensation claims
- Maintain complex award interpretations
- Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger
- Generate payroll reports and tax documentation
- Manage garnishee orders and salary packaging
- Process back pay calculations
- Assist with payroll tax and FBT reporting

Required:
- Government/public sector payroll experience
- Award interpretation expertise
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
