About the Role The primary purpose of the Payroll Officer is to process the Baptcare payroll and other payroll related activities in conjunction with the Payroll Manager, maintain a strong customer service ethos, maintain high quality service standards and assist in the implementation of change management strategies to support the organisation.
Key Duties Accurate, efficient and timely processing of the Baptcare payroll Assistance to be provided with end-of-pay processing and pay slip distribution.
Assistance to be provided with timely calculation and processing of termination payments, back pays and overpayments Assistance to be provided with End of Pay and End of Month reporting.
Production of ad hoc payroll reports as requested by managers.
Assistance to be provided with maintenance and updating of existing procedures.
Development of new procedures as required.
Employee and Management queries to be investigated and responded to within 3 hours of receiving the query.
Assistance to reconcile the General Ledger About You You will ideally bring the following: Understanding of Taxation, Superannuation and Workcover legislation Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken Numeracy skills with a keen eye for details Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to form good working relationships with a range of stakeholders Alignment and commitment to Baptcare's Mission, Vision and Values VCE or VCE equivalent or higher Diploma of Administration or similar level of qualification or higher 3 - 5 years' experience in a payroll officer or similar role For You Baptcare is focused on living our values, not just talking about them.
