Our client is a not-for-profit education organisation that employs over 16,000 teaching and non-teaching staff, who serve more than 112,000 students. They are seeking to hire a Payroll Officer to assist with a 12-month contract, with an opportunity for permanent employment. The successful candidate will work alongside various departments to provide excellent payroll service and will be a true team player.About the positionIn the position of Payroll Officer, you will report to the Senior Payroll Officer. Your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to:End to end payroll processing in accordance to policies and procedures.Onboard new employees and enter variations to employment records.Process termination requests and payments ensuring correct PAYG withholding on payments.Process salary packaging arrangements and salary deductions.Update Personal leave entitlements where there is an increase in Full-Time Employment.Update Masterfile details.Calculate and process pro-rata entitlements.Validate data entry and payroll reports.To be successfulThe successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, be service-minded with great communication skills, and independently seek solutions to problems that might appear.The qualifications required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:3+ years of experience in the Payroll domain.Relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline e.g. Payroll, Finance, Accounting (desirable).Experience with using enterprise packages preferably Technology One.Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.BenefitsGreat CBD location.Close to public transport.Work From Home flexibility.Salary Packaging of up to $13,999.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
