Integral position within People & Culture Full time, fixed term (Dec 2024) position at our Hawthorn campus HEW5 salary and 17% superannuation About the Role  Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for payroll administration?
We are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team and take on the responsibility of ensuring the effective and efficient processing of all payroll-related administration.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and work with the payroll team to team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, this role is responsible for the effective and efficient processing of all payroll-related administration.
This includes the administering of payroll processing using ichris/Chris 21, integrating data from Workday and the delivery of exceptional customer service through addressing payroll related queries and maintaining employee records.
About You   To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:  Experience as a payroll officer, including end to end payroll processing payroll, processing of termination pays and leave audits.
Demonstrated knowledge of and interpretation of current legislation which directly affects the payroll function i.e.
tax legislation.
Advanced word processing and spreadsheet skills and experience with a computerised Human Resource Information System such as Ascender / iChris / Workday or similar.
High-level organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Well-developed investigative and problem-solving skills, with a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
