The People &Culture team at Hall & Wilcox is a team of 25 people whichincludes Payroll, Generalist, Talent Acquisition, Early Careers,Learning & Development and Diversity, Inclusion &Wellbeing. Reporting toand working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will play anintegral role in the delivery of an efficient and effective payrollfunction at Hall & Wilcox. Keyresponsibilities processing theend-to-end fortnightly payroll for employees (approximately950); processing of newstarters, payroll changes, casual hours, overtime, backpays,deductions, bonuses and termination payments; managingand processing employee entitlements; managingemployer funded parental leave payments; maintaining GovernmentParental Leave payments; managingleave processed in ESS (Employee Services Service); processingsuperannuation contributions on a monthly basis; assisting the PayrollManager with monthly reconciliation and reporting; assisting the PayrollManager with processing monthly and quarterly profit sharedistribution for partners; co-ordinating mykicommuter club orders and associated payroll deductions anddocumentation; end offinancial year processing including processing firmwideremuneration review changes and STP final reconciliation;and providingpayroll-related support to other teams within the firm,including responding to and resolving payrollqueries. Skills andexperience We are keento hear from candidates with the following skills andexperience: minimumthree years' experience as a Payroll Officer or similarrole; experience processing asimilar sized payroll (>800 employees); end toend payroll experience; experience using AccessMicrOpay payroll system - preferred; soundknowledge of legislative requirements in respect of statutorytax, Superannuation, Legal Services Award, Single TouchPayroll; strongworking knowledge of Excel; excellent communicationskills; abilitywork independently as well as with a team; and abilityto interact and develop relationships at all businesslevels.
