About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team at Bialik College in Hawthorn, Victoria on a part-time (0.80 FTE) basis. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the smooth and accurate processing of our employees' payroll, ensuring they are paid on time and in accordance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
What you'll be doing Process fortnightly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits. Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Liaise with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, and other entitlements. Assist with the preparation of payroll-related reports and compliance documents. Respond to employee inquiries regarding their pay, leave, and other payroll-related matters. Ensure all payroll-related tasks are completed within set deadlines and to a high standard. What we're looking for Demonstrated experience in a payroll officer or similar role, preferably within the education sector. Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills. Proficient in using payroll software and Excel. Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation, awards, and regulations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with staff.
