The Position: The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate preparation, processing, and payment of wages for staff in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation. The Payroll Officer is responsible for the administration of documentation systems and controls of staff employment details, entitlements, and correspondence.
Key responsibilities: End-to-end processing of company payroll.Maintenance of payroll systems.Updating and maintaining payroll records.Liaising with staff and management on payroll-related queries.Maintaining leave, sick, and overtime reports.Applying awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances.Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations.Payroll administration.Calculation and processing of termination payments.Other duties as required by the organisation from time to time in accordance with the skills and competencies of the employee.Essential: Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).Completion of minimum Year 11 Certificate of Education.Excellent computer skills.Desirable: Cert III in Business (Administration).3 years experience in the processing of payroll.Experience in office administration.To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
