Payroll Officer

The team behind Rick Shores, Southside and now Central restaurants are growing and they are now recruiting a full-time Payroll Officer to join the team located at their Fortitude Valley office. This is an in office role.
Working within the finance team you will work with the Senior Payroll Officer to ensure circa 200 pays (potentially growing to circa 350 in 2025) are processed correctly and on time each and every week. Other working relationships will include senior operations and HR.
Your core tasks will include:
End to end payrollEnsuring compliance to NES, Restaurants Award, tax legislationReporting, weekly and monthly to operations and directorsSTP monitoring, payroll taxSystem updates and maintenance - Payroll MetricsAudit and Award reconciliation process administrationWith an established, enthusiastic and driven team ready to welcome you we would like to know more about you:
Tell us about your experience with pay runs in excess of 150 paysThe business runs payroll for multiple entities, what experience do you have with multi entity processing?There are many payroll systems in market, what systems do you have experience in?When things go wrong, what is your approach to resolve mistakes and challenges?Payroll is deadline driven, tell us about they way you like to organise and structure your workload.The work environment is collaborative, busy and supportive.
