Make change together.Uniting Country SA - Caring for Country Peopleucsa.org.auAbout The PositionLocation: NegotiableStatus: Full-Time (0.8 Negotiable)Closing Date for Applications: 25th November 2024The Finance Team is incorporated within the Corporate Services Department and provides high quality administrative services to all staff and clients across the Uniting Country Group (UCG).As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating payroll functions, setting up new employees and inputting correct data into the payroll system and accurately completing fortnightly pay runs. You will assist in identifying service improvement opportunities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and maintaining the integrity of the payroll system data.You will:Be responsible for managing and processing end to end payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards and organisational policy.Maintain and update payroll database with employee details, work patterns, and follow up of employee enquiries and discrepancies.Prepare payroll related reports for audit, general ledger journals and reconciliations and ad-hoc reports as required.It is essential for you to have:Current Australian Drivers Licence.Relevant experience in a paid or voluntary capacity.It is desirable for you to have:A Tertiary Qualification in Payroll, Finance or Human Resources will be highly desirable.You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.Our process requires you to provide a Resume, Cover Letter and a statement addressing the Duties and Responsibilities contained within the Position Description.
