Payroll Officer - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in this newly created position, on a 9-month fixed term contract!
In this role, you will be responsible for providing payroll data across to our vendors, processing payments, maintaining data accuracy, running variance checks and performing maintenance tasks on our legacy payroll system.
ABOUT THE ROLEBuilding and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including our outsourced payroll vendor, HR team, Reward function and finance function.Process payments accurately and efficiently for our employees across Australia.Collaborate with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data.Conduct variance checks to identify and resolve any discrepancies in payroll calculations.Perform regular update tasks on the legacy payroll system to ensure its smooth operation.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters in a timely and professional manner.Stay updated on relevant payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.ABOUT YOUPrevious experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role, preferably with experience in processing retail and warehouse pays.Strong knowledge of payroll processes, calculations, and relevant legislation.Proficiency in using Chris 21.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
