YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and based in our offices in Truganina, VIC, the Payroll Manager will oversee the payroll process, ensuring that CEVA's permanent employees and labor hire across Australia and New Zealand are paid accurately and on time.
The role acts as the subject matter expert for the business on all payroll-related matters, including award interpretation, taxation, and finance.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? End-to-end payroll for weekly and monthly payrolls across 8 entities in Australia and New ZealandCoach and manage a high-performing team of 3 including work allocation, capability development and performance management ensuring high levels of staff engagement and motivationProvide operational oversight of payroll services and escalate issues and risks to support high-level decision-making and planningEnsure compliance with all relevant requirements including legislative requirements, Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements, Superannuation, PAYG, Single Touch Payroll, Work Cover and Payroll TaxResolution of complex payroll inquiries and payroll issuesEnsure processes meet control requirements associated with internal and external audits, the ATO, and the Office of State Revenue, and manage responses to internal and external audit reviewsReview, develop and implement improvements to new and existing payroll compliance controlsPlan and manage the use of agreed processes, standards, methods, and tools to support efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and consistency of service delivery and performance.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in accounting / finance, with proven experience gained in payroll manager position in transport, manufacturing or logistics.
Experience in payroll including multiple Enterprise Agreements, particularly with the Logistics IndustrySound understanding of all payroll related compliance and reporting requirementsExperience in Payroll system and process improvements, including implementation of Time & Attendance and Payroll automation softwareStrong organisational skills and attention to detailStrong communication and customer service skillsExperience in leading and mentoring a teamAdvanced MS Excel and Intermediate MS office skillsBonus: experience using ADP Payroll, EmpLve Time and Attendance and Success Factors.In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
