This includes ensuring that Payroll is compliant with legislation and aligned to SEEK policies, providing a seamless and efficient service for all SEEK's business.The role reports into the Manager, Payroll & HRC. On a day-to-day basis, this role works closely with the Payroll Team Lead and the Payroll Systems and Payroll Compliance Consultant to support the delivery of SEEK payroll. The role provides support to internal stakeholders including P&C, Finance Business Partners, Leaders, and the People Tech & Insights team.Working with the Payroll Team Lead, you will liaise with external vendors including, but not limited to, the payroll vendor Dayforce, MLC Default Superannuation, clearing house providers, Novated Lease providers, and Salary Continuance Insurance Administrators. You will also work with the Payroll Systems and Payroll Compliance Consultant to liaise with external compliance agencies such as SRO, ATO, IRD, and Workcover authorities.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and guide the Payroll Team, ensuring end-to-end delivery and accuracy of Australia and New Zealand Payroll on a fortnightly and monthly basis.Effectively manage day-to-day operational issues and competing priorities to ensure continuous effective and seamless service delivery.Act as an escalation point for unresolved issues, working closely with the Payroll Team Lead and the Payroll Systems and Payroll Compliance Consultant on problem resolution and payroll system support.Ensure legislative requirements are adhered to and up to date with current Australian and New Zealand legislation, SEEK policies, and the National Employment Standards (NES), implementing system changes in a timely manner.Ensure Payroll compliance for Australia with PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Workcover, and for New Zealand compliance with IRD, KiwiSaver, and Accident Compensation Corporation.QualificationsProven experience in payroll management and compliance for Australia and New Zealand.Excellent people leadership skills, caring and nurturing to drive team development and play to each individual's strengths.A sharp eye for detail, high level of accuracy, and a passion for meeting deadlines.Great communication skills and confidence in working with senior management and stakeholders to build relationships.A proactive mindset with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in payroll processes.Extensive knowledge of Australian and New Zealand Payroll legislation and compliance requirements.Commitment to professional integrity and ethical leadership.Additional InformationAt SEEK, we offer:Support of flexible working, including a mix of office and work from home days depending on your role.SEEK is committed to operating sustainably, certified carbon neutral for its business operations, purchasing renewable energy, and targeting net zero by 2030.SEEKer Support, a confidential service that offers employees up to six sessions with a mental health professional of your choice.At SEEK, we are passionate about fostering a culture of inclusion and wellbeing that embraces and values the diversity of our people.
