Our success is based on hiring outstanding people and accepting nothing less than being the best at what we do.About the role:As the Manager, Payroll you will be responsible for the end to end payroll function for the Group.
You will be proficient in all payroll tasks and will also contribute to broader HR initiatives, including corporate and statutory reporting, external audits, process and system improvements, scoping and DD of systems and onboarding and offboarding.
You will focus on providing a high level of service to stakeholders across the group, creating efficiencies and "better ways of doing things" and will be able to work independently across all Loan Market Group entities in Australia and NZ.
Your positive, can-do attitude and ability to be adaptable to changing priorities are essential in this position.Key responsibilities:Vendor and Stakeholder Management (Internal and External):Ensure ongoing level of service with external providers including, Employment Hero, Keypay and CFSEngage IT and Info Security to effectively manage any system upgrades/enhancements and ensure minimal disruptionTroubleshooting any issues as it relates to systems with the relevant partiesEngage with providers for any additional services, costings etc.On train payroll/HR in the systems in particular any new/additional system featuresRepresent payroll as needed at any internal meetings including with Audit, Tax, FinanceSupport external organisations requests for information i.e.
OSR, ATO, Inland RevenueBusiness Improvement and Strategy:Suggesting, driving and implementing business Improvement initiativesStreamlining processes to create efficienciesUsing technology to enhance manual tasks i.e.
reporting, API integrations and workflow automationSetting the strategy for PayrollLeadership:Leadership and development of the payroll assistantOnboarding new payroll team membersEnd to end processing of all employees within the fortnightly pay cycle:Processing timesheets, ordinary earnings & bonus paymentsCalculation and payment of terminationsProcessing remuneration increases and calculation of back paymentsBalancing general ledger reportsPreparing journals and reporting for the Finance teamProcessing monthly, fortnightly and out of cycle/additional payments for all corporate employeesPayroll Administration:Creating new starters and removing terminationsUpdating and maintaining payroll recordsDocument management of employee recordsCreating and maintaining the payroll training materials and guidesDraft letters of offer, employment agreements and variation letters if neededUpdating terms of employment i.e.
salary, hours, position, manager etc.Redundancy calculations and deeds of releaseManaging payroll email inboxEnd of Month/Year Processes:Complete end of month processes including:Superannuation processPAYG paymentsCalculation of payroll taxMonthly reportingEnd of financial year processes for all employing entitiesEnd of financial year WorkCover estimates and declarationsAny other ad hoc tasks as requiredTo succeed in this role you will bring with you:Qualifications in a related discipline would be highly regardedPreferred experience in Employment Hero, KeyPay and CFS superDemonstrated payroll processing experienceAbility to work to deadlines for pay runsAttention to detailCustomer FocussedPositive attitude and team playerAbility to manage time, take ownership of issues, work independentlyExcellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skillsNumerical ability and data entry skills.Understanding of payroll legislation and processes ie.
tax, superannuationAbility to interpret awards and relevant legislation
