About therole Viterra is seeking an experiencedPayroll Manager based in Parkside on a permanent full-timecapacity. You will be responsible for overseeing the entirety ofthe payroll operations with a continuous focus on processimprovement, payroll system efficiency and controls implementationwithin the organisation. The role is pivotal in ensuring accurateand timely processing of the payroll run. The role is alsoresponsible for the correct interpretation of 9 EnterpriseAgreements and accurate payroll processing for these agreements, inaddition to wage staff across Australia and New Zealand.
Dutiesinclude but are not limited to Oversee the day-to-dayoperations of the payroll department, ensuring accurate andtimely processing of payroll for all employees. Lead and manage payrollstaff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure highperformance and adherence to established processes andcontrols. Communicate payroll policies,procedures, and changes to all employees in a clear and timelymanner. Manage and maintain relevantpayroll systems, ensuring proper functionality includingdeveloping and maintaining documented procedures. Meet reporting requirementsfor internal and external stakeholders. Develop and implement robustcontrols to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance inpayroll processing. Lead initiatives tostreamline payroll processes, reduce manual tasks, and improveoverall efficiency. Aboutyou Extensive experience inpayroll processing and management (minimum 8 years), withproficiency in SAP and Chris21 is essential. Knowledge of enterpriseagreements, awards, and relevant legislation relating to termsand conditions of employment for payroll. Experience with Kronos ProWorkforce Management for scheduling, timekeeping andintegration with payroll systems is essential. Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detailand accuracy. Proficiency in MicrosoftExcel and other payroll-related software. Effective communication andinterpersonal skills. Ability to lead and manage asmall team effectively. Prior experience meetingreporting requirements for internal and externalstakeholders.
