About the Role This parental leave opportunity, starting in December 2024, provides the chance to join a close-knit, well-supported team where you can demonstrate your leadership skills and hands-on payroll expertise within a well-established payroll function.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Services, the Payroll Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing CFA's payroll function. The role ensures the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and HRIS services to CFA staff throughout the entire employment lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and service standards.
You'll manage a team of five experienced payroll staff who are committed, dedicated, and highly focused on delivering exceptional payroll and customer services.
About You We are seeking someone with strong technical payroll expertise and leadership skills for this role, with tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or extensive experience managing a payroll function. Your ability to provide clear, authoritative advice on payroll, remuneration, HRIS systems, and the interpretation of legislation and awards will set you apart as an ideal candidate.
You have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to think creatively. As an inclusive leader, you bring coaching and mentoring skills that prioritise and encourage team development while also adopting a project management approach to handle complex tasks and deliver timely, effective results.
