PAYROLL MANAGER, CHRIS21 | MELBOURNE Contract: Until end of January, with potential for ongoingPay: $69.41-$76.70 p/h + SuperLocation: Melbourne, CBDWork Model: Hybrid (2 WFH), Start ASAP
Role Overview:Lead this government payroll team, managing payroll operations for 480 employees using Chris21. This hands-on role involves system governance, team management, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee various aspects of payroll processing using Chris21, working cohesively with other relevant teamsLead and train the payroll teamManage payroll adjustments, variations, and changesHandle leave reconciliations, onboarding, and terminationsGenerate reports and derive insights from Chris21Implement and maintain payroll governanceDrive system enhancements and process improvementsEnsure accurate and timely auto-pay for 480 employeesRequirements: Extensive experience with Chris21 payroll systemProven track record in payroll management within the public sector (desirable)Strong knowledge of payroll processes and complianceExperience in team leadership and trainingProficiency in payroll reporting and data analysisAbility to implement governance and drive system enhancementsDesired Qualities: Process improvement mindsetExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAttention to detail and commitment to accuracyAdaptability and willingness to be hands-onAdditional Information:Opportunity to add value through process improvementsPotential for role to become ongoing beyond January
