Payroll Manager

About the Company

Our client is a Queensland-based infrastructure owner and operator. Due to an internal promotion, they are seeking a Payroll leader to manage their fortnightly payroll of 700 employees, with the assistance of two Payroll Officers.


This is an interim temporary position for approximately 2 months, to start ASAP, with potential for a permanent offer.

As the Payroll leader, your responsibilities will include -
Ensuring payroll is completed to deadlineYear End reconciliations and reportingProviding advice and support to stakeholders in relation to the interpretation and application legislation, polices and enterprise agreementsGovernance and reportingPayroll system configuration and maintenanceImplementation of payroll controlsOngoing improvement of the payroll systems, workflows and processes About You

We are seeking a candidate with -
Extensive experience of payroll systemsIn-depth payroll knowledgePrevious supervisory experienceAbility to recognise payroll errorsA focus on continuous improvement
