Payroll Manager

About the role   This exciting and unique role will see you leading a compliant, efficient, and accurate delivery of payroll services focusing on maintaining Australian legislative, taxation, and superannuation compliance.
As a pivotal member of our Performance and Reward Team, you will build proactive stakeholder partnerships whilst role modelling continuous process improvements, service excellence and compliance management practices.
Specifically you will:  Manage all payroll services ensuring legislative and internal compliance requirements.
Ensure the Payroll function provides responsive payroll advisory services.
Enhance service delivery by introducing best practices to improve efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.
Lead and support the team to deliver the end-to-end fortnightly and monthly payroll processes.
Manage the processing of online timecards, additional hours, mileage claims, superannuation changes, deductions, allowances, off-cycle pay and Government paid parental leave payments.
Ensure the maintenance, confidentiality, and security of employee data.
Maintain knowledge of the People First Bank Enterprise Agreement and policies.
Maintain knowledge of relevant Awards, federal and state superannuation and taxation legislations.
Deliver timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Meet cyclical reporting obligations.
Provide on-going training assistance and advice to users.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Payroll matters.
About you   To be considered for this role, you must offer extensive experience working with HR systems – Oracle HCM Cloud, Aurion and Chris21.
We also seek:  Advanced knowledge of Australian payroll legislation,  Extensive experience in delivering an end to end payroll service within a medium to large organisation.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing high performing Payroll teams.
Advanced level of Excel.
