Payroll Manager (Job Number: 240001BO) Description About the role The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and RACQ policies. They will manage payroll systems, addressing employee payroll inquiries, coordinating with HR and Finance teams, and maintaining detailed records to support audits and reporting. They will be responsible for:
Leading and mentoring a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support and performance management to ensure team success and development. Overseeing and managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy in pay calculations, tax deductions, benefits, bonuses, and other compensation elements. Ensuring payroll is completed in a timely manner according to RACQ policies. Managing the remittance of all taxes to regulatory authorities in accordance with relevant legislative requirements. Establishing and maintaining strong internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and discrepancies in payroll processes. Lead or participate in payroll-related audits, ensuring that all payroll documentation is up to-date and accurate. Managing the completion of all annual reporting obligations. About you Extensive experience in managing a payroll function for a large organisation with proven ability in leading a team of payroll professionals. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the provisions contained within a company's remuneration policies, income tax legislation, superannuation legislation, industrial legislation, Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements. Well developed skills in the use of a computerised Payroll system. Experience using iChris/Chris 21 will be highly regarded. Why join RACQ?
