Combining your commercial experience, deep sector and regulatory knowledge, with your expertise in finance function optimisation specifically within the payroll process and finance function leading practices you will drive outcomes and provide advice across a wide range of finance function topics.

Your responsibilities will include:Establishing high performing teams, including coaching and mentoring team members.Leading the planning, management, and delivery of engagements, including proactive stakeholder management, commercial project outcomes, resourcing, and risk management.Participating in overall practice strategy development whilst ensuring high quality deliverables tailored to client needs.Participating in the delivery of high quality and tailored written deliverables.Developing strong professional networks including growing and maintaining long-term productive client relationships.Preparing and delivering proposals and realising business development plans.Demonstrating an understanding of client industry sector, key performance drivers, business trends, and new technical and industry developments.Continuous learning and building your knowledge base for matters that are on the agenda of your clients (e.g., payroll compliance, transactions, governance uplift, finance function optimisation).What we're looking forHere's our 'wish list' but don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes.
We're interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience, and CA or equivalent professional qualification.Excellent leadership and project management skills with a proven ability to execute under pressure.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.A strong ability to assemble and lead diverse teams in an inclusive manner.A desire to build a career founded on purpose and teamwork.Ability to advise clients on processes/controls enhancements specifically in the payroll process including understanding of the complexity of the Australian payroll landscape.An understanding of how a transaction works (i.e., business acquisitions and business disposals) and the operational impacts for the business/finance function.A degree in accounting and/or another appropriate academic major.A motivation to build your digital skills.Acknowledgement of CountryEY acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which EY offices are located around Australia.
