The opportunity on offerThis is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role within the finance team at Texco, where you'll have the chance to lead payroll operations and oversee essential financial processes across the business. As the Payroll Lead & Accounts Administrator, you'll play a vital part in ensuring smooth financial management, from payroll accuracy to accounts reconciliation. Key responsibilities of the role: Oversee and manage the entire payroll process for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries.Maintain employee payroll records, including personal details, tax information, deductions, and benefits. Ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.Stay up to date with relevant payroll legislation, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements. Ensuring the company's payroll practices align with legal and regulatory standards.Generate and analyse payroll reports, including payroll summaries, tax reports, superannuation reports, leave liability reports and other relevant financial dataAssist with internal and external audits related to payroll, ensuring compliance and accuracy, as well as conducting regular reviews of payroll processes and identifying areas for improvement.Oversee the payroll software system, ensuring data integrity, system updates, and improvements A bit about youPrior experience in payroll management or a similar role, with a proven track record of accurately processing payroll for a sizeable workforceYou must have experience in the Construction industry A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferredExperience administering EBAs along with a deep understanding of the NES and industrial awards, tax and superannuation regulations, and payroll softwareExperience in accounts payable management, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and vendor managementKeen attention to detail in financial analysis, reporting, and data accuracy with the proven ability to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential risksStrong financial and accounting skills to manage accounts payable effectivelyStrong problem-solving abilities to address payroll and accounts payable issues promptly and effectively, with a solution's oriented mindset Please note, for the right candidate, we may be open to a part-time working arrangement.
