About the Role As our Payroll and HR Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes and supporting HR functions. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the People & Culture team, contributing to employee engagement, well-being initiatives, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Management: Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time. Maintain payroll records, leave entitlements, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Manage payroll using Employment Hero or similar systems. HR Administration: Assist with employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork and welcome packages. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies. Coordinate well-being initiatives such as flu shots, gym memberships, and healthy eating programs. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure payroll and HR operations align with employment laws and industry standards. Generate reports on payroll, leave balances, and HR metrics. Culture & Engagement: Support People & Culture strategies, including pulse surveys and safety culture initiatives. Participate in developing and coordinating staff events and recognition programs. About You: Proven experience in payroll administration, with knowledge of payroll systems like Employment Hero, Xero, MYOB, or SAP. Familiarity with Australian employment legislation, awards, and compliance. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information. Experience in HR administration, including onboarding and employee record management. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
