Utilise your finance and payroll experienceJoin a dynamic team servicing the organisationEnhanced work life balance with flexible work arrangementsAs part of the Finance team, the Payroll Coordinator will facilitate an efficient, effective and timely payroll service to all Council staff in accordance with Award rates and Council Policies.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED Extensive practical experience working in Payroll in a large organisation or sound accounting knowledge and practical experience and ideally have a Diploma in Accounting as a minimum.
Key responsibilities will include the following: Facilitating payroll processing including;Application of relevant awardAll payroll reconciliations internal and externalStaying abreast of relevant legislation changes including Payroll Tax and SuperannuationProducing & reconciling fortnightly payroll reports to the general ledger.
This will require sound accounting knowledge;Contributing to continuous improvements involving internal systems of work;Responding to all audit enquiries pertaining to payroll;Communicating and managing all tax office payroll reporting;The ability to work independently and problem solve;The ability to write and provide input on developing and maintaining policies and procedures;Willingness to interrogate and enhance processes to make full use of software programs;The ability to work autonomously and problem solve.ABOUT YOU We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with demonstrated experience working in a payroll or accounting function.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to problem solve autonomously.
Salary Range: Grade 15 - $86,308.58 - $93,394.43 annually plus 11.50% superannuation for a 35 hour work week.
Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing.
