Position: Payroll Consultant
Location: Permanent full-time position located in Melbourne's CBD

Key Responsibilities: Deliver and manage outsourced payroll across multiple client portfolios. Provide end-to-end payroll experience for new and existing clients across multiple payroll and T&A systems. Skills and Experience (Essential): Proven experience in using multiple payroll and T&A systems (experience in Payroll Metrics, Dayforce and/or NZ payroll highly desired). Previous experience in running pays (weekly, fortnightly, monthly). Previous end-to-end payroll experience (minimum 3-5 years) including but not limited to: New Employees, Terminations Single Touch Payroll (STP) Redundancies, deed, settlements Variations to Employment Leave Processing/Deductions/Allowances/bonuses/Choice of Super Statutory Third Party Payments/Management (i.e. Payroll Tax, Super, Workcover, Centrelink, PAYG Remittance) Overpayment/Underpayment calculations/management (including investigating, reconciling, calculations, reporting) Salary Packaging Processing Remittance of all payroll related transactions (i.e. EFT, Super, Payroll Tax, PAYG) Month End/ Year End reconciliations Previous Award/Contractual Interpretation Query management/resolution/Customer Service Ability to work autonomously or in a team, attention to detail/accuracy, ability to problem solve Liaising with Senior Management/Clients as well as employees Payroll legislation & award knowledge. Experience working autonomously within a complex environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet payroll deadlines. Client/Key Stakeholder Engagement. You must have full working rights to work in Australia to be eligible for this role.
Desirable Qualifications: Previous experience working in a Payroll Outsourcing or shared services environment. You will ideally have exposure to Payroll Metrics and/or Ceridian Dayforce. An understanding of NZ payroll will be highly beneficial. Tertiary qualified with a business-related discipline. Proven experience within a similar role.
