Latitude Financial Services has implemented a partially outsourced Payroll model which means that our payroll processing is managed by an external vendor, Frontier Software, with substantial collation and verification work undertaken by the Latitude Payroll team.
The purpose of the Payroll Compliance Specialist role is to identify and rectify areas of payroll process improvement, and action identified items arising from any audits (internal/external) or compliance reviews.
This role will also support the Payroll Lead in ensuring appropriate controls are in place via internal systems and the external iChris platform.
This role will also support the Payroll Lead in delivering day-to-day payroll activities that remain in house.
Let's look at some key responsibilities: Drive further efficiency in the existing outsourced model.Support the Payroll Lead in developing and maintaining strong working relationships with our outsourced payroll providers (Frontier Software for AU and NZ, Mazars for Singapore (due to cease in 2025).Ensuring legislative and regulatory compliance, along with the employee experience, is front of mind in identifying and enacting change.Support the development/review and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines, tools, templates, processes and reports to improve payroll efficiency.Provide leave cover for the Payroll Lead to ensure smooth continuity of payroll operations.Support the delivery of projects and initiatives that are designed to enhance the employee and leader experience relating to payroll.Prepare other data, reports and analytics as required.Work closely with People Operations and Reward teams to ensure data accuracy in our HRIS (Workday) and continuously improve the integrity of payroll related data.Support delivery of appropriate integration of data across multiple HR platforms – Workday, Chris21 (Pay & Leave), Time & Attendance.Ideally, we're looking for the following: Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll.Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources/ Business/ Commerce/ Law discipline, or equivalent professional payroll experience.Sound knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and regulations, and industrial instruments.Experience working in payroll compliance roles.Experience working within, and preferably managing, an outsourced or partially outsourced payroll model.Proficient in MS Excel (e.g.
advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP).Strong knowledge of HR Systems (e.g.
Workday or similar).Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
iChris/Chris21 experience will be highly regarded.Strong interpersonal, collaboration and engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.Strong analytical skills and capability to concisely generate and communicate insights from data.Sometimes the best candidates don't have 100% of what is listed above, but if you have most and are confident you'd be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you!
