Support the People Operations team > Great opportunity to own your space Bring your expertise to us > Make an impact and be part of the shift to renewable energy Careers with Purpose > Collaborative > Inclusive > Flexible Work Environment When you choose AusNet, you'll join genuine people working together, making Real Progress. At AusNet, we're the link between renewable energy sources and local communities, playing a key role in the clean energy transition and providing essential energy to every Victorian family.
Help us lead the way, while enriching your career with real people who encourage you to bring your best and make real impact – for your career, our communities, and Australia's cleaner energy future.
Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That's refreshing. This role will see you supporting AusNet's adherence to its wage compliance obligations by managing its Wage Compliance program, including the execution of AusNet's Better Off Overall Test. You will proactively address potential breaches by analysing drivers and indicators, while also providing insights on trends in Payroll and Time & Attendance data to help AusNet maintain Wage Compliance.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the People Operations team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Execute monthly/quarterly activities within AusNet's annual Wage Compliance program. Analyse trends in Time & Attendance (T&A) and Payroll records to ensure appropriate entitlements are being claimed/paid. Engage with Employees and Leaders to discuss Better Off Overall Test (BOOT) impacts and changes in behaviour where required. Execute AusNet's BOOT using a calculation engine provided by WageSafe and validate outcomes to ensure they are a true and accurate representation of actual behaviour. Review T&A data and patterns to ensure compliant entry across AusNet. Determine preventative or remediation activity where risks of annualised underpayment are identified. Maintain awareness of updates to Awards, Enterprise Agreements or other legislation, to ensure WageSafe's calculations remain accurate and additional wage compliance activity is developed as required. Support the training of People operational teams and wider AusNet business, including the development of training material, guides and communications. Actively collaborate across the People function to share insights on behaviours observed (impacting wage compliance outcomes), lessons learned, and wins achieved. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Administration of a Compliance, Payroll or Human Resources-based process, including adherence to deadlines and meeting legislative obligations. Understanding of (or capability to learn) how Payroll systems and data operate, with an appreciation for detail in day-to-day work. Understanding of (or capability to learn) Industrial Award or Enterprise Agreement structures and applications. Experience in reviewing large datasets, without pre-defined parameters, to inform meaning and/or action. Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or PowerBI is beneficial. Sound verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills to convey complex subject matter to an audience unfamiliar with detail. A real place to belong.
We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.
We believe in more than just competitive pay. Here's what sets us apart: Flexibility: whilst we do require attendance up to 3 days a week at our modern offices at Freshwater Place, we do offer hybrid working, flexible hours, or part time arrangements, we'll work with you to help balance work and life. Leave: more than typical personal leave and a generous 14 weeks of paid parental leave, with no minimum service. Community giving: a paid day to volunteer with our social impact partner, Foodbank, or for a cause that matters to you. Perks: we offer all the other perks you've come to expect like purchased leave, income protection insurance, novated leasing, corporate discounts, private health cover discounts and more. As an industry in transformation, we're excited by the possibilities ahead. So, if you're passionate about our purpose and committed to making real progress, bring your energy and join AusNet. Together, we can shape a new way forward.
