As the Payroll Compliance Lead, you'll take charge of all payroll compliance and statutory reporting, while ensuring governance, data integrity and compliance with company policies.
As part of our drive to increase efficiency and user experience this role will also be involved in project work centred around our new HRIS implementation system.
Key Responsibilities Working closely with the Payroll Operations Team, by holistically monitoring governance and compliance controls, as well as supporting the continuous improvement of payroll procedures.Ensuring the Group meets all its statutory obligations with the Australian Taxation Office and State Revenue Offices including completion of Month and Year End.Conducting T&A and Payroll audits to ensure that the underlying systems, procedures, and controls provide results that are compliant with applicable Awards, business rules, and Fair Work/ATO regulations.Assisting with key P&C projects including but not limited to, Award compliance review and remediation, T&A optimisation and HRIS implementation and maintenance.Uphold governance, risk, and compliance standards, ensuring all tasks align with regulatory requirements and internal audit protocols.More about you Tertiary Education in Finance, Human Resources or a related field, Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Payroll.Thorough knowledge and understanding of Long Service Leave, Worker's Compensation, PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation Guarantee legislation and regulations.In-depth understanding of Payroll concepts and accounting fundamentals.Sound understanding of the General Retail Industry Award 2020.Exposure to the Storage Services and Wholesale Award 2020, Road and Transport Award 2020 and Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020, preferred.High sense of urgency balanced with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, at all levels within the Group.Continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance the customer and internal team member experience.About us With more than 290+ stores and 2500+ employees nationally and a brand-new state-of-the-art distribution centre, we are Australia's leading retailer and wholesaler of fashion and comfort footwear, owning and operating some of Australia's most iconic brands including Bobux, The Trybe, Midas, Mollini, Cinori, Mathers, Williams, Diana Ferrari, and Australia's largest online footwear retailer, Styletread!
