Our client operates across all states & territories and has multiple state-based Enterprise Agreements under different Awards. Based in Albury NSW, this is a Permanent opportunity for someone who is ready to hit the ground running and support the team as a Payroll Award Tech Analyst across the business network. Working with a dynamic and rapidly growing company, our client is seeking a Payroll Award Tech Analyst that is able to take ownership of Industrial Instrument interpretation and updates, including the system configuration of rules in the Company's HR and Payroll Information System. Business process mapping, implementation of change and visibility is a key activity in the position. Your Role: Working across the People & Capability (P&C) and Payroll functions this role is to ensure the understanding & compliance of processes by staff. Whilst also taking the responsibility to train and manage change to deliver improvements in accuracy, efficiency, transparency and accountability. This position requires adaptability and accountability for a role that is a unique part of the Payroll Team. Successful collaboration cross-functionally, especially with P&C, IT and Operations will be critical in this position Your responsibilities will include: Implement Instrument changes accurately and in a timely manner into the Company's Information system(s). This will mean configuring the system, managing all stakeholder input and ensuring that the correct audit trail is in place. Requires an intimate and up to date knowledge of changes to instruments that impact employee payments. In collaboration with P&C and Finance document each step of the configuration settings and how they interact with the primary system & other related systems. Document the purpose of each configuration and provide both simple & complex worked examples of their application. A robust testing regime forms a key part of the role Design, document & monitor all business processes where employees are required to follow processes for any configuration to work correctly. Working with P&C and Operations teams take ownership for training of all employees as required. Play a lead role with both P&C and Finance for projects that require the unique input of Interpretation skills, Systems knowledge, Process Mapping and related capabilities. Engage with both internal and external parties to ensure that, at all times, we are compliant legally with the accurate payment of employees. In turn, be able to interpret and communicate that advice to senior management. Manage a calendar of required changes and adhoc requirements with precision, ensuring that zero statutory or Company Instruments are missed, with all changes made in time to meet deadlines. Design, document, communicate and undertake Audit activity associated with Award Interpreter and other aspects of P&C and Finance systems. Where necessary, prepare reports in relation to Audits, including recommendations for positive change. Design and implement a regime for continuous testing across the multiple Enterprise Agreements & Awards to ensure compliance & accuracy of payroll output. Facilitate the analysis of system issues that relate to the Award Interpreter element of the System. Work with IT and/or the System provider to determine issue resolution. Develop and maintain documentation relating to the Award Interpreter as required, This may include training document. Undertake training of the Award Interpreter to system users as required To succeed in this role, you'll need: Love working in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Previous experience in award interpretation. Previous Experience and a keen interest in IT systems functionality Excellent communication and High attention to detail. Ability to follow company policy and ensure all staff adhere to relevant policies and procedures. As this role forms part of an underlying obligation to ensure the accurate & timely payment of wages there is a requirement to have a deep understanding of the impact of company Enterprise Agreements and the underpinning Awards. High level of attention to detail.
