Your Role with Us In this end-to-end payroll support role, you'll handle the fortnightly pay run for 400 employees across 9 entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your responsibilities will include processing payroll, addressing employee queries, and collaborating with other departments to support our expanding operations. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to work on significant global payroll projects, adding a global perspective to your experience. What you will do: Maintain payroll system. Process and manage fortnightly payroll. Statutory compliance includes managing STP, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and workers compensation and awards. Collaborate with the People team to ensure an effective payroll process. Handle and resolve payroll queries timely and effectively. Payroll reconciliations and payroll reporting to the management. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the payroll process. Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information. Accounts Payable function: Process supplier bills and perform accounting duties including invoices verification, record keeping, and reconciliations. Process payments to both domestic and overseas suppliers and expense claims in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Compliance with finance policies and procedures as well as maintain good internal controls. Assist in the month-end process including preparing monthly accruals and reviewing GST/VAT report. Handle and resolve inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Identify opportunities for process improvement. Monitor bank balance to ensure sufficient funds available for payroll and bills payment. What you will bring: Minimum 4 years' hands-on payroll processing experience. Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in an Accounts Payable role. Solid understanding of payroll operations with exposure to Superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and work compensation. Experience in the use of Netsuite, Excel, Google Suite, Slack. Knowledge of accounting concepts and the general ledger. Bonus points if you also have: Experience using Jira, Blackline, WM and/or Zapier. Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous. Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous.
