Job Description
We have a flexible part-time vacancy in our admin/accounts office to work alongside our full-time Accounts/Office Manager.
20-24 hours per week Monday to Friday, plus holiday cover when required.
Role Overview
The role will be developing in time as we have a programme to bring in new software but the role as it currently stands is set out below.
Fortnightly Payroll (plus holiday cover) using Sage 50 Payroll
Sales ledger accounts (using Sage 50) covering:
Processing sales orders
Raising delivery notes & sales invoices
Reconciling and posting customer receipts
Posting invoices/credit notes
Sending out statements and chasing late payments
Admin support to sales team
Liaising with customers to resolve any accounts/order queries
Assisting with pension administration
Ordering stationary & cleaning materials
Answering phones, filing & general admin/office tasks
Occasional typing and assistance in maintaining HR folders
This role is varied and at times fast-paced requiring good numeracy and attention to detail. While working as part of a team, you will also need to be comfortable working alone at times once settled in. Ability to work and adhere to set procedures and processes is key but you will also need to work outside the box and have a flexible and versatile approach. You will also need to understand the need for discretion and information governance given the sensitive nature of some of the tasks.
Computer literacy is imperative, with experience of Microsoft applications especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ideally, you will have at least one year's experience of payroll and an understanding of PAYE, along with experience of sales ledger accounts using Sage Payroll and Sage 50 Accounts, but training is available for the right candidate.
Start and finish times are flexible, but you would be required to be in the office between 9.30 and 2.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30-12.45 Fridays fulfilling 20-24 hours each week with the potential for further flexibility working once trained and up to speed. RJW have steadily been growing and this role could in time have the potential for development and increased hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour potentially rising to £13.50 on completion probationary period and experience.
