About the role You will be responsible for compliance, data accuracy and excellence of payroll operations, ensuring effective customer-focused payroll services are provided to clients. You will provide innovative audit frameworks and insightful compliance reviews for the Manager, Payroll and Benefits Services and deputize for the Manager during periods of absence. Regular travel to Ballarat will be required if Mt Helen is not your primary campus.
You will:
coordinate and process the delivery of our payroll service by allocating workloads and supporting the payroll specialists;
maintain specialist knowledge and expertise of relevant industrial instruments, policies, processes and legislation;
provide expert advice and assistance to salary-related issues; and
participate and contribute to the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and projects.
About you You will have prior experience coordinating continuous improvement activities as it relates to compliance ensuring that positive relationships are developed, maintained, and enhanced. In addition, you will have demonstrated experience with leave administration, payroll reporting, salary sacrifice schemes, workers compensation, taxation and superannuation.
You will possess demonstrated:
ability to lead internal audit processes, identify continuous improvement and education stakeholders to address compliance issues.
experience and ability to contribute to an effective and proactive team,
experience in reviewing large data sets; and
excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on providing quality customer service.
