Responsibilities
Undertake the accurate, efficient, and effective processing of all transactions relating to payroll processing, including new employments, terminations, and all personnel movements, on a day-to-day basis.
Accurately interpret and apply award, legislative and departmental policies, and procedures.
Provide advice and assistance to managers and staff on a diverse range of human resource services, specifically those associated with payroll issues.
Update and maintain records and systems to meet the requirements of the operational area, including payroll processing.
Contribute to resolving operational problems relating to service delivery.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 20 October 2025.
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 May 2025.
Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary:
$71,661 - $77,455 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
Conviction checks in the following areas:
Crimes of violence
Sex related offences
Serious drug offences
Crimes involving dishonesty
Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
